Total Staff Needed: 1 Department: Accounting/Finance Target Start Date: Monday, February 3, 2025 Workplace: Hybrid (WFH & On-site) Schedule: Morning Type of Employment: Full time (8hrs/day 5x/week) Responsibilities: 1. Payroll Processing: - Assist the Payroll Officer in preparing and processing employee payroll on a bi-weekly or monthly basis. - Calculate hours worked, overtime, and other compensation adjustments. - Verify and ensure accurate computation of salaries, wages, and benefits. 2. Data Entry and Record Maintenance: - Enter and update employee information, including tax details, bank accounts, and salary adjustments, in the payroll system. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including attendance and leave balances. - Ensure proper filing of payroll-related documents, such as payslips, government remittances, and tax filings. 3. Compliance: - Ensure payroll processing complies with government regulations, such as SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and tax withholding requirements. - Assist in preparing and submitting statutory reports and contributions on time. - Stay updated on labor laws, tax codes, and other payroll-related regulations. 4. Employee Support: - Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, including salary discrepancies, deductions, and tax computations. - Assist in resolving payroll issues or discrepancies in coordination with the Payroll Officer. - Provide employees with copies of their payslips, tax documents, and other payroll-related records upon request. 5. Coordination with Departments: - Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee information, including hiring, terminations, and salary adjustments. - Work with the Accounting team to reconcile payroll accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting. - Coordinate with Operations for attendance and timekeeping records. 6. Audit and Reporting: - Assist the Payroll Officer in conducting internal payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance. - Generate payroll reports for management review as needed. - Identify and escalate any discrepancies or irregularities in payroll processing to the Payroll Officer. Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage. 2. At least 1-2 years of experience in payroll or a related administrative role, preferably in a BPO setting. 3. Proficient in payroll software and MS Office applications (Excel, Word). 4. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 5. Knowledge of labor laws and statutory requirements in the Philippines. 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 7. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. 8. Dependable, proactive, and able to meet deadlines under minimal supervision. 9. Ability to work under pressure and tough deadlines. 10. Can start immediately.
